AVAIL A POPE BENEDICT XVI MEMENTO

I am giving away FREE memento cards with a piece of cloth which – for several months – was used as a backing for Pope Benedict XVI’s skullcap display. Take note that these cloths are not merely touched to, but it came in direct contact with the solideo for a long period of time. In honor of the anniversary of the election of Pope Benedict XVI eighteen years ago, I want you to be the recipient of these holy mementos of the beloved late Holy Father.

Again, we are reminding everyone that this memento and prayer card is STRICTLY FOR PRIVATE DEVOTION ONLY, especially that the Causa for Pope Benedict XVI has not yet been formally opened. One can treat this memento as a mere holy remembrance of our dear Papa Benedetto, who I believe has shown extraordinary heroic virtue in his life.

Reminder: This does not violate any law/directives laid down by Pope Urban VIII who forbade the public veneration and unlawful cultus of the deceased faithful. Treat this memento as a special remembrance of the legacy of Pope Benedict XVI, same as with our cherished family heirloom items.

This practice is not new in the Church: I own an antique card with a piece of lining from the shoes of Blessed Pius IX, which I suspect was circulated whilst he was still alive, or even from a few years after his death, even though the causa hasn’t been opened yet (his causa opened on 1954).

Each packet contains a holy card with the private prayer approved by Bishop Antonio Carlos Rossi Keller of the Diocese of Frederico Westphalen which I have translated to the Tagalog language. The small red cloth attached to the card was from the larger cloth that has been piously touched to the rosary personally handed down by Pope Benedict XVI during an audience, and of course, to the zucchetto under my custody.

Please note that this would be available only for residents of the Philippines, and since the items (holy cards) are limited, requests will be reviewed through case by case basis especially for multiple requests. Arrangements will be discussed through email on how to claim the memento. Please wait for the confirmation of your request.
